Alex Norton ist ein schottischer Fernseh-, Film- und Synchronsprecher. Bekannt wurde er vor allem durch seine Rollen als DCI Matt Burke in der STV-Krimiserie „Taggart“ und als Eric Baird in der BBC-Two-Sitcom „Two Doors Down“. Er spielte elf Rollen in Bill Douglas’ Film „Comrades“ (1986) und wirkte in wichtigen Filmen von Bill Forsyth („Gregory’s Girl“, „Local Hero“ und „Comfort and Joy“) sowie in großen Hollywood-Produktionen wie „Braveheart“, „White Hunter Black Heart“ und „Patriot Games“ mit. Er war Gründungsmitglied der Theatergruppe 7:84 und tourte in den 1970er-Jahren mit The Cheviot, The Stag und The Black Black Oil durch Schottland.
